    Types of weapons in the moleman universe:

    Weapons can be simple, or technological.  Ranged weapons like bows and lasers are not as strong as melee weapons due to the range advantage. Some nations are more advanced than others, and so have more complex weapons. Typically though, a race's abilities add more to their fighting style than a weapon alone.
    Common Weapon Examples: Blades, axes, hammers, polearms, bows, gun powder
    Technological Weapon Examples: Heat Blade, Electrical Blade, Grenades, Mobile Suit,

    Runes

    There is no magic in the moleman universe, but there are runes.  Runes are a way of creating effects by writing symbols in combination with your own energy. While technically anyone can use runes, it takes a lot of time to learn their meanings and interactions with each other, and more time still to learn how to pour your own energy into them properly.  This means a rune user has likely not spent time learning other combat skills to a satisfactory degree.  Runes can be inscribed into weapons and other objects, but the wielder must know how to infuse them to use them in battle or they will lose their power and their effects.  Some see runes as magic, others as divine power, and others as a science.

    HUMANS

    Humans are the most diverse and flexbile race in this universe.  They are seen in most countries, and their abilities tend to depend on the region they are naitive to.  There are four primary types of humans:

    SOLAR HUMANS


    LUNAR HUMANS


    GAIA HUMANS


    SKY HUMANS


    Solar human's abilities are based in light energy and the power of the sun as well as creatures and beings who draw power from them.

    Common team roles include: FIGHTER, SUPPORT, MARKSMAN, MAGE


    OFFENSIVE LIGHT STYLE-You may fire varying types of light bolts or beams, or empower your weapons with light energy.  Accomplished users can conjure white fire.


    SUPPORTIVE LIGHT STYLE-Uses include blinding flashes, healing allies, and binding foes


    OTHER LIGHT ABILITIES-Instantly Jumping short distances, invisibility, 


    AURAS- You may choose one aura that can be temporarily donned during battle. These auras boost certain stats and may give special effects to your abilities. Common examples of auras include Lion, Eagle, and Horse. Mythical auras like pheonix, unicorn, and angelic are not unheard of, but rare.


    NOTE-The bloodline with the ability to conjure physical forms out of light energy has been long lost. As such, your ability to create things out of light will be very very limited.
    Lunar Human's have abilities based in shadows and beasts of the night. Their shadow skills tend to be manipulative and hard to follow.

    Common team roles include: FIGHTER, ASSASSIN, DISRUPTION, UTILITY


    SHADOW ABILITIES: These include leaping into shadows, holding other people down by their shadow, or using your shadow to snare and attack foes.


    SHADOW MANIPULATION-You may choose one of the following three types of shadow manipulations:

    -Shadow Armor
    : Wrap yourself in shadow, becoming slightly ethereal and able to distort your form.

    -Doppelganger
    : Your shadow mimics your form, fighting alongside you in battle. For an advanced user, it is like fighting two people at once.

    -Shadow Familiar
    : Your shadow takes on a new form such as a creature, able to act upon your will and move interdependently of you.


    TRANSFORMATION: You may choose one animal transformation. You gain heightened senses, a few physical aspects of that animal, as well as their abilities and other advantages. Advanced usage can involve retaining some of the animal's traits at all times, as well as full transformation into massive beasts.

    -Canine: Take on the aspect of wolves and dogs, with improved tracking ability, fangs, and strength.

    -Feline: Take on the aspects of predatory cats, with improved vision, claws, and agility.

    -Avian: Take on the aspects of birds of the night and darkness with the ability of flight, as well as possible dark arts.

    -Chiropteric: Take on the aspects of bats, with the ability of flight as well as blood related abilities.
    Gaia human's abilities are based in closeness to nature, including interactions with earth, animals, water, and flora.

    Common team roles include: SUPPORT, MAGE, FIGHTER, TANK


    NATURE MANIPULATION: You may alter existing earth, plants, and water.  Advanced users can conjure these in places where they did not already exist.


    ANIMAL TAMING: You are particularly adept at soothing and gaining the loyalty of beasts, some of which may be able to aid you in battle if needed. Some may even adopt permanent familiars.


    ONE WITH NATURE: You may become one with the earth, turning your body into the likes of stone, wood, vines, etc. This can afford considerable protection, as well as turning your body into a very versatile weapon.


    SUPPORT ABILITIES: You are adept at drawing out the healing properties in herbs, as well as being able to use natural water to speed up the healing process.
    Sky Humans command storms and weather, including winds and clouds. Their abilities tend to revolve around wind manipulation around themselves, and the types of effects they add to them. This allows them to control a lot of space on the battlefield.

    Common team roles include: SWIFT FIGHTER, MAGE, JUGGERNAUT


    WIND ABILITIES: Generally geared toward offense.  Increased speed, higher agility, wind augmented slashes, twisters, and other wind storms.


    CLOUD ABILITIES: Generally geared toward support. Fog cover, rain changing terrain, levitation, gaseous form.


    STORM MANIPULATION: You may choose one type of storm to command, which will change your wind abilities.

    Blizzard: Wind becomes chilling and icy. Your presence is difficult to bear, and wears opponents out. Icy gales can be used to catch foes and prevent their escape.

    Drought:Your Wind becomes hot and dry. Your presence is difficult to bear, and wears opponents out. Blasts of heat damage multiple enemies at once.

    Hurricane: Your wind becomes vastly more powerful and violent, as well as increasing your speed and agility even further.

    Lightning: You may cast bolts of lightning. These bolts have high range, and can be chained along foes.

    BEASTMEN



    Beastmen take on many shapes and sizes, and are present in most every nation of the world. They are mostly humanoid, but tend to be covered in fur and have the appearance of some real world animal we would recognize.  This means they could be small and quick, lean and strong, or large and tanky. They have the ability to manipulate the earth, being able to create humongous devastating seismic attacks. Beastmen are also known to be good at smithing and farming, and building, due to their ease of manipulating the landscape as well as having some forms that are well suited to physical labor.

    Common team roles include: TANK, FIGHTER, MAGE, SUPPORT


    ANIMAL LINEAGE: You may choose one animal for your beastman race to be based on.  Existing races in the moleman universe include moles, badgers, weasels, and even Elephants. The animal you choose will affect your size, strength, speed, etc.


    EARTH MANIPULATION: You can shift the earth beneath your feet to manipulate the battlefield. Pieces of earth can even be launched offensively, though you can not permanently levitate stone or use the earth to "fly". Some will donn earth as armor by clinging it to their body, though this increase of defense may be restricting to movement. Advanced users are capable of extreme and violent seismic activity, with legends of volcanic eruptions.


    FLORAL AUGMENTATION: You may train in the art of encouraging plant growth. This can be extremely rapid, meaning a pocket of seeds may be intended as a weapon. While farmers will use this to grow healthier crops, a plant that is instantly grown will bear no fruit or seed. Growing especially large plants can be exhausting.  The sheer range of seeds one can hold on to though makes this a very diverse ability capable of both offense and support.

    CIRREN

    Cirren are fluffy and light. They vibrate their wings, allowing them to flying as well as granting them many sound based abilities. Cirren are airborne, agile, and versatile.


    OFFENSIVE SONIC ABILITIES: Cirren can use their wings to create focused blasts of sound, causing physical damage to enemies. Edged weapons can be vibrated to increase their armor piercing potential.


    UTILITY SONIC ABILITIES: They can use widespread waves to disrupt multiple enemies, or even interfere with incoming projectiles. They can turn the tide of battle by "singing" with their wings, raising team morale or throwing enemy lines into chaos. Most interestingly, their sonic waves can be used to amplify effects of medicine and other healing.


    There are three major races of Cirren, depending on the region they are from.

    SONG CIRREN


    STORM CIRREN


    NIGHT CIRREN


    Song cirren's fur is soft and beautiful. Their wings are larger and more elegant, as are their songs.

    Common Team Roles: SUPPORT, MAGE 


    SONGS: These Cirren can vibrate their wings for extended periods of time, allowing them to perform their songs throughout a combat. 


    OFFENSIVE ABILITIES: Thanks to stronger wings, their sonic damage is higher than other Cirren. This gives access to wide concussive waves and sonic booms.


    SUPPORTIVE ABILITIES: Their healing effects are more effective
    Storm Cirren are much larger and stronger than other Cirren races. Their fur is extremely fluffy, allowing them to store charges of static electricity in their body, which can be discharged later.

    Common Team Roles: TANK, SUPPORT, MAGE JUGGERNAUT


    ELECTRIC CHARGE: Moving and fighting causes storm cirren to store charge in their body.  


    DISCHARGE: Lightning can be discharged suddenly on single targets at a distance, or dispersed more efficiently through blows and weapons.


    OTHER CHARGE USES: Foes who make physical contact can be punished by electric sparks, and foes and allies can be given an electric charge by physical contact.
    Night Cirren are slender, dark colored, and have much more delicate wings. Their specialized wigns and large ears allow for much more fidelity in how they handle their Sonic abilities.

    Common Team Roles: SUPPORT, ASSASSIN, SWIFT FIGHTER


    SILENCE: Night Cirren can create artificial acoustics to prevent certain things from being heard.  Thanks to this, they can become entirely silent, cut of enemy communication, or send messages to allies without detection.


    VIBRATION: They are better at focusing points with their abilities, meaning body to body contact with an enemy can be used to cause them internal damage by intense vibrations.

    EFFYDIAN


    Common Team Roles: FIGHTER, MAGE, SUPPORT

    FIRE CONJURING: You can produce fire form your body, which can be cast at a distance or applied to physical blows.


    SPIRIT FORCE: You can apply your spiritual energy to your physical blows.


    SPIRITUAL PROWESS: As an effydian trains and become more adept with their abilities, they gain advanced spiritual techniques.  Most effydians are lucky to unlock even one of these skills.

    Ring of Fire: Your body is entirely surrounded by flames, acting as both an offense and a defense.

    Third Eye: You gain heightened perception, as well as the ability to attack foe's minds.

    Spirit Arms: You can conjure up 2 or more spirit arms which have physical presence so long as you maintain them.

    Spirit Cobra: The form of a cobra takes on physical form and coils around your body, defending you from harm.

    CASCADE


    WATER MANIPULATION: You can conjure and manipulate water around you. Water can be whipped around fairly easily in your vicinity, but control is lost at long range.  Adept users can heave massive amounts of water.

    HEAT TOUCH CASCADE

    FROST TOUCH CASCADE

    Common team roles include: Mage, Marksman

    HEAT TOUCH: You can heat up your body at will without harming yourself.  This can be extremely damaging on contact with foes. An adept fighter can heat their entire body.

    STEAM ABILITIES: You can heat up the water around you, making it scalding hot and dangerous to touch.  Hot steam jets can sear the flesh of enemies.

    HIGH PRESSURE WATER: Cascade can create high pressure sphere's of hot water, and then unleash them.  These can be used to create scalding bombs, and high range piercing water jets.
    Common team roles include: Mage, Assassin

    FROST TOUCH: You can cool your body at will without harming yourself.  This can be extremely damaging on contact with foes.  An adept fighter can chill their entire body.

    ICE ABILITIES: You can chill water around you, freezing it mid attack, turning splashes into a barrage of needles, or a stream into a icy spear.  It is very easy to improvise daggers and other sharp weapons out of ice.

    RAPARI

    Rapari are small aquatic creatures who can dramatically change their body shape.  Their bodies are aqueous, allowing them to change shape with a bit of effort.

    Common team roles include: TANK, JUGGERNAUT


    CHANGING SHAPE: You can extend or enlarge parts of their body to increase the strength of blows, or better take hits for their allies.


    REGNERATION: You can repair damage to their body, so long as the damage is not so extensive that it is beyond their stamina to reform.


    COLOSSAL FORM: Rapari can exert all of their energy at once for a large scale powerful transformation.  This monstrous form differs depending on your home region, including dragons, horned beasts, and titans of the deep.

    CRUZTAK


    Cruztak are massive and powerful. They have no special abilities, but they are the most physically able of all races.  They are incredibly strong, their exoskeleton can take multiple blows from weapons, and despite their size and weight they are not particularly slowed down by it.

    Common team roles include: FIGHTER, TANK, JUGGERNAUT


    MASSIVE STRENGTH: Your fists alone are destructive enough to beat down most foes, but you are also capable of wielding weapons like no other can. What is normally a two handed weapon for someone else is a single handed weapon for you.  Objects that would be unthinkable as weapons can be carried into battle.


    EXOSKELETON: Your natural armor allows you last out incredibly well against blunt force, blades and even small high velocity projectiles.

    CRYOLOGIAN


    Cryologians bodies are made of minerals or metals. They are incredibly durable, and can be quite long lived. They are capable of drastic body modifications, as well as applying knowledge one can only gain from an extended lifetime.

    Common team roles include: MAGE, TANK, SUPPORT


    LONG LIVED: Cryologians have the potential to live a very long time, meaning you might have acquired a lot of useful knowledge.
